Oh to be in the EU??!

Well we have been out for a test sail and new (swanky) solar panel and wind generator arch performed well as did CC - minor hiccup with autopilot and furling drum now sorted out so smiles all round - could have just kept on sailing and we were all happy chappies once we reaches Cowes; including Bramble who just loved being somewhere new again. Travelling bug very contagious it would appear!

Another hilarious (perhaps!) tale from the EU...
Did you know you can buy and sell farming subsidy rights and make loads of money by sitting on your arse all day?
Here's the drill:
First fill out a form saying you want to be a registered farmer... of course you don't need any land or intention to farm, silly.
Then go on the trading website and buy yourself a nice big fat subsidy (you will receive from the government approximately 100 pounds per hectare per year - lovely jubbly!)
Next go and rent a scruffy piece of land that doesn't require any tending; the bigger the better, you want to get the most you can out of the taxpayer after all (but remember the object of the "game" is not to get your hands dirty and everyone knows dealing with livestock is just a pain in the butt...)
Now sit back and rake in the dosh.
Apparently dear Queenie makes millions a year this way... bless her little jubilee socks and she is not the only one!! The Scottish government reckons they pay out up to 30 million a year to these sort of freeloaders... but its the systems fault you know, nothing to do with the government or the ones that are ripping the taxpayers off!! You got to love them over here - they seem to have the ability to admire people that can work the system??!
Anyway enough with the wonders of the universe - hope you are all well in Kiwivana - Stay tuned!
