Well that was Christmas!

So Christmas is over and we had a great time up with the whanau in Brigg... way too much food eaten and some of us had "Brigg Belly" for a couple of days but it was all worth it.
It has been very mild here so far although I have included a picture of ice on the water so you don't feel so bad :-)

Only amusing thing to happen recently was an incident involving the dryer and some of my polar fleece which has ended with me looking like an extra from an old Star Trek episode and given me the ability to cross deep, muddy puddles with out getting the bottoms of my trousers wet and do the dishes without rolling up my sleeves... very convenient I must say and perhaps the style might catch on in due course as have Ugg Boots. Although my fashion won't cost you 250 pounds a pop!!!
Anyway it is all good fun and does mean that I do get to buy something new every once in a while!
At the moment we have our mast off for a refurb and so we fit in with the motorboat set down our end of the pontoon ha, ha :-). (Have to "ha, ha" there as the rivalry between blowboaters and stinkpotters is taken very seriously here!)
So we have got many other projects on the go to keep us occupied, including having an arch made for the back of the boat to mount a solar panel and wind generator... should cut our costs and make us even more independent come summer.
Anyway have a great New Year and all the best for 2012!!!
